When Walmart wanted to eliminate contaminates and reduce the risk of slippage in their distribution center’s restrooms, Don Zurenda and his team at U.S. Seal Inc. used Adsil Corporation’s MicroGuard to do the job. Commissioned in December 2010, the project took under a week to complete, but the benefits will last for years to come.

“We did a great deal of research on the product,” Zurenda, President of U.S. Seal Inc. said, “All the reviews were good and we got nothing but great recommendations.”

The Walmart Distribution Center’s restroom facilities in Woodland, PA, caters to hundreds of truckers and employees passing through each day. For 24 hours a day, these restrooms sustain the wear and tear of constant use. Walmart wanted to eliminate contaminates for these active locations and increase the safety of their showers and facility floors. U.S. Seal used MicroGuard Anti-skid in response to the 400 sq. ft. challenge.

“Initially we began with a small portion as a test area,” Zurenda said, “It was easy to apply and easy to work with. They loved it so much we did bathroom floors and showers.”

After finishing the job, it seems as though Adsil Corporation has received another great review. While not final, there are currently discussions about using MicroGuard on multiple Walmart distribution centers in the near future.
